Has anyone ever heard of buyers remorse? If not it's when a buyer is questioning if they made the correct purchase or not. Many home buyers back out of an offer if they are not 100% happy with the home, which in my opinion makes sense. No one needs to purchase property they are not happy with. This is what real estate agents like to call buyers remorse.
Once again this falls back on being fully satisfied with your purchase. Don't force yourself in to a home mortgage if you aren't 100% happy with the purchase you are about to make. The home can depreciate in value once you purchase it, just like when you drive a brand new car off the car lot. Be careful with what you purchase.
Happy home buying!! :)
Ah! A cautionary tale for the ages indeed! I struggle with impulse buying and constantly feel the sting of buyers remorse with all sorts of little things. I couldn't even begin to imagine what it would be like to feel buyers remorse on a whole house! I suppose when I start getting to that stage I'll have to make myself more picky about things. As you said, if I'm not 100% about a house, I certainly shouldn't buy it!
ReplyDeleteI would hate to feel buyer's remorse after buying a home. I know that it is a hard decision and after looking for a very long time it is incredibly hard to decide what is the right decision. It is also harder because you don't know all of your options. Who has the time to go and physically see every single house, and if the real estate company only puts one or two images up it makes it even harder. I think that people are possibly bound to feel a little bit of buyer's remorse because they cannot check out each house individually.
