When putting a new listing on the market you want to be sure photos are good quality, not cluttered with personal items, and show the key aspects of the home. These may be a Jacuzzi, tile shower, remolded kitchen, hardwood floors, bonus room, custom cabinets, natural lighting, etc. The living room, dining room, master bedroom, and kitchen are the main shots you want to have. Many home buyers are interested in the size of rooms, therefore the arial shots will give them an over view of what they are looking at. In addition to the inside shots of the house it is important to get a shot of the outside of the home where it looks well maintained and kept up. If the home is vacant it is the responsibility of the current home-owners to keep their property looking nice an maintained. Individuals are looking for homes that are move in ready!
The pictures below show a house that has been newly listed in Hidden Creek. This house took more work than one that is vacant because we had to go in and move her items around to make the pictures look less cluttered. Permission is granted from the home-owner when doing this.

I completely agree with you. My husband and I are currently looking to buy a home. Some of the pictures posted can frustrate a person beyond belief. It is so important to present the house in a effective and professional way. In some of the pictures I have viewed, you cannot see the room, or they are a close up of the furniture that is not staying. That is so frustrating. Additionally, labeling pictures is so important, because viewing pictures doesn't always give the whole story, and sometimes it is hard to tell what room is what, what the size is or what particular type of flooring/features are in the room. Life would be so much easier if every house for sale had a virtual tour with narration. Additionally, it is so important to have pictures. There are so many homes that could have been our dream home that were eliminated because there was only a single picture of the outside of the house. Good quality and a good quantity are the most important things when viewing pictures of houses!
