Flyers
are an important aspect of selling a home. They are presented at the location
of each home with tons of information. On each flyer you have the house bio
like I mentioned before, three to four pictures, along with the price and
square footage. You don’t want flyers to be too wordy because people will just
throw them away. Flyers are supposed to be something your audience can skim and
get a handful of information in a short time span. At the bottom of each flyer
you always provide the contact information of the listing agent, this makes it
easy for homebuyers to schedule an appointment for a showing. In addition to
all information you want to maintain a neat, well-organized layout with vibrant
colors to draw consumers attention to the home.

House Bio...
House Bios are written at the beginning of every listing after the pictures of the home have been taken. These bios are short in length, usually no longer than 150-200 characters and posted in MLS sites for realtors, newspapers, magazines, and flyers. It is important to summarize the main features of the home and use, strong detailed, adjectives that will draw buyers attention. Within the bio you may provide the number of bedrooms and baths, square footage, acreage, location, updates, and price. The information provided is more of a personal preference and what you think will sale the home!
Below I have provided an example bio that I have recently wrote for a home that's for sale in Granite Quarry, North Carolina.
"Welcoming and radiant, this 4BR, 2.5BA home has been newly remolded featuring, gleaming hardwood floors, open fireplace, stainless steal appliances, granite counter tops, spacious bathrooms with beautiful vanities and a custom walk in tile shower in master bath. This charming home delivers the benefits of life on a quiet well maintained street, perfect for first time home buyers. Schedule a showing today; you won't be disappointed!"

Importance of Picture Quality...
When putting a new listing on the market you want to be sure photos are good quality, not cluttered with personal items, and show the key aspects of the home. These may be a Jacuzzi, tile shower, remolded kitchen, hardwood floors, bonus room, custom cabinets, natural lighting, etc. The living room, dining room, master bedroom, and kitchen are the main shots you want to have. Many home buyers are interested in the size of rooms, therefore the arial shots will give them an over view of what they are looking at. In addition to the inside shots of the house it is important to get a shot of the outside of the home where it looks well maintained and kept up. If the home is vacant it is the responsibility of the current home-owners to keep their property looking nice an maintained. Individuals are looking for homes that are move in ready!
The pictures below show a house that has been newly listed in Hidden Creek. This house took more work than one that is vacant because we had to go in and move her items around to make the pictures look less cluttered. Permission is granted from the home-owner when doing this.

How it all Began...
The design and structure of homes has always been of interest to me since the age of 12. At this age my parents decided to make our first move. This meant finding a real-estate agent and putting our house on the market for sale. Between the listing itself and marketing our home to different agencies and potential home-buyers, real-estate sparked my attention for a future career!
It almost made too much sense for me to fall in love with this type of sales. Growing up my dad was a contractor who built many different houses; therefore I was always around the construction and market of homes. Now, I am a rising senior at Catawba College where I am majoring in Integrated Marketing and Communications. When it came time for me to choose an internship of course I went straight to finding one with a real-estate agent. That's when the opportunity was opened for me to be Cathy Griffin's intern at Century21 Towne & Country. Within the first three weeks of my job I have learned more than I could have ever imagined and I am loving every second of it!
